The Glebe Parents’ Day Care functions as a parent-staff cooperative. This model allows all staff the opportunity to be members on our board and committees. This gives staff the ability to have a voice and be part of the decision making, not only in their own role, but for the entire centre.
Permanent Staff at the Glebe Parents Day Care are members of CUPE 2204. They are covered by a collective agreement which provides staff with fantastic benefits such as: very generous annual vacation and sick days, family sick leave, special leave, professional development time, dental and medical coverage, vision care, pension plan, etc.
The philosophy of our coop is that all staff are essential for the running of the centre therefore all permanent staff receive the same benefits and salary.
