March with the Full Day 4’s

March was our Puurfect Pets month. We had lots of activities and visitors.
Janice brought in her therapy dog, Azor, to show us what a therapy dog does. He is a READ dog (reading education assistance dog) with Ottawa Therapy Dogs who assists reluctance readers to become more confident with their reading ability.  We went on a walk to the Pet Store at Lansdowne Park and bought 2 toys for Janice’s dog.
We made “dog” bone cookies for us to eat!
We had a vet come and do an exam on Azor and show us what she does at her work for people and their pets. We also had a preschool teacher bring her reptiles in to visit. We were able to touch all her pets. She has 2 bearded dragons (lizards) and 6 snakes. Parrot Partners came to shows us their parrots and teach us about parrot rescue.
And of course we had our monthly trip to the library to drop off the pet books and find lots of dinosaur books for April’s “We Dig Dinos” theme. We can hardly wait!!
There was pizza party at the end of the month to celebrate spring. Maybe we need more pizza? Spring hasn’t sprung quite yet!
